Maria Menounos

  Maria Menounos, a Greek-American journalist and actress has a net worth in excess of $20 million. Maria Menounos is most well-known for her role as a correspondent and actress on Today, Extra and Access Hollywood. She was born to Costas Menounos and Litsa Menounos Greek immigrants from Boston, Massachusetts on June 8 in 1978. Her parents were in the United States prior to her birth and worked as janitors in the Boston nightclub. When she was growing up, she went to the Dormition de la Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church. She graduated from Medford High School. Menounos at the age of 17 was the producer of "Land of Merry Missfits" as an independent film fairy story. In 1995 she began competing in beauty contests, and in 2006 won the title of Miss Massachusetts Teen USA. Then, Menounos attended Emerson College where she participated in the now award winning organizationcalled Emerson Independent Video. Emerson was her senior year in 2000. She was an Emerson Channel One News reporter while in school. Menounos 10 minute segments were filled with memorable assignments, such as going to El Salvador to report the earthquake that struck the country.
