Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress who is best well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Her parents had divorced and she relocated with her mother to Los Angeles. In 2001, despite her financial struggles she managed to secure her first big performance in the video online series Rachel's Room playing the lead character. The film for television Murder in Greenwich, in which she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford's character in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in 2005 to pursue the role of a greater part in movies, and had a role in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. Her first roles were in films starring her father in his adolescent years. Together with her brother she was also on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, as well as Sherrybaby (a dramatic) received her nominations for Golden Globe Awards.
