Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classic Boleros from the past and the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started more intense singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. While a young student and professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000 she moved to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to many projects in the community because of her love and passion for music. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage others to sing the same.
